Spearheaded by their new signing, 2023 World Champion Steve Holcombe, the official Honda RedMoto Racing team in the Enduro World Championship has named its full five rider line-up for the 2024 EnduroGP and Italian Championship seasons.
The old dog Thomas Oldrati is back for yet another campaign in both the Italian Championship, where he won the 250 4T class title, and will join Holcombe racing E1 in the world championship. Thomas also has more of a rider and bike development supporting role within the team these days too.
Samuele Bernardi will ride the bigger CRF450RX in the Italian Championship and E2 class in the EnduroGP. Manolo Morettini meanwhile will be the team’s Junior class rider in both the Italian and World Championships.
And last but not least Francesca Nocera will aim to retain her Italian Women Enduro title and improve on her third place in the Enduro Women’s World Championship.
The team now has a two months stint of pre-season training in Spain, Sicily and Italy
In a press release dated January 9, here’s what the Italian riders had to say:
Thomas Oldrati: “In 2024 I will have a double commitment. I will aim again for the Italian 250 4T title and I will try to give my best in a hard-fought E1 World Championship. In addition, I will bring my experience to all the riders of the team, following the training sessions, seeing the special tests, valuating the technical choices and the most suitable setting. I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
Samuele Bernardini: “I’m thrilled to continue with Honda RedMoto. I would like to thank all the staff, the team technicians and the sponsors. I am ready to give my 100%”.
Manolo Morettini: “I expect a lot from this season and I’m very happy to continue racing with Honda. There is a lot of work and I have been training with Oldrati for months between Bergamo, Sardinia and Sicily.”
Francesca Nocera: “After such an intense 2023 I needed a break before starting the season. Reset done and now I can’t wait to start again: the aim is to fight for the title. We will work hard in the pre-season tests to be ready.”
Egidio Motta, CEO Honda RedMoto: “What we are announcing today is much more than just an enduro team, but a real ambitious values’ project of excellence, Italianness, talent. Ours team is made of passion and determination. I’m sure Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team will reach great satisfactions.”
Matteo Boffelli, Team Manager: “An important season just around the corner with many expectations and a World Champion who will make his debut on the Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RCX Enduro. All our riders must set ambitious goals and compete against talented and fast opponents. We will have again all the technology and collaboration of Honda-RedMoto. We are ready to shine in 2024.”
